PTCGO Scanner

A fast QR code scanner for Pokemon TCG online codes.

This is a React app that scans the QR code on Pokemon code cards. There are several websites that let you sell these codes. All you have to do is copy and paste the list of codes into their website. However, there aren't any good apps on Android for scanning in these codes. Most aren't focused on Pokemon codes. The ones that do focus on Pokemon are quite slow at scanning and don't help you organize codes. For example, the Pokellector app takes about 5 seconds to scan per QR code and requires you to email the code to yourself (instead of copying the codes to the clipboard). I wanted to build an app that let's you scan codes quickly and organize your codes.

I built this as a web app so it could be cross-platform. It should work on any device with a camera. It also reduces the barrier to entry, since its just a website and doesn't require installation. If you want to use the app offline, the scanner is a progressive web app (PWA), so you can install it as an app with supported browsers, and it will function just like any other app.

All data is stored locally on your device so there isn't any risk of an online database getting hacked and your codes getting stolen.
